Fair is fair

Where Teachable shines

In the table, Teachable is ahead of Ultra LMS on affiliate programme, multi-language, native mobile app and team seats (B2B).

  • AI creation tools on every plan: an outline generator, lesson drafting, a quiz generator and lesson summaries.
  • On Teachable Payments, tax is calculated, collected and remitted in many markets, with a PDF invoice per purchase.
  • BackOffice automates affiliate and author payouts and collects their tax forms.
  • iOS and Android student apps on all plans, with offline lesson downloads on iOS.
  • Flexible selling: subscriptions, payment plans, bundles, coupons, order bumps, upsells and abandoned-cart emails.

Moving over

Switching from Teachable

What you can take with you, and how Ultra LMS helps you settle in.

Getting your data out of Teachable

  • Teachable has no single export-everything option and no native full-course export.
  • Users and transactions export as CSV files, which are emailed to you.
  • Videos, PDFs, audio and other files download one at a time from the curriculum editor, and lesson text is copied out by hand.

  • On a custom gateway, payment and subscription data already sits in your own Stripe or PayPal account.

Settling into Ultra LMS

  • Import learners from a CSV, enrol them in bulk, and keep their details in the built-in CRM.
  • Rebuild courses quickly: upload your existing documents as references and the AI course builder drafts an outline and lessons for you to edit.

  • Your data stays portable: export the whole academy, CSVs, and any course as a ZIP or Word document.

Questions

Teachable vs Ultra LMS: FAQ

Common questions about Teachable, and about moving to Ultra LMS.

Does Teachable have an AI course builder?

Yes. On all plans, Teachable's AI tools can generate a course outline, draft lesson text, write within text blocks, generate quiz questions from lesson text and create lesson summaries.

Can I export my students and course content from Teachable?

You can export users and transactions as CSV files, but there's no native full-course export. Videos and files must be downloaded individually, and text copied out.

Does Teachable support SCORM?

No native SCORM or xAPI support is documented. Supported lesson files are video, images, audio and PDF, and other content can be embedded with custom code.

Can I remove Teachable branding from my school?

On the Growth plan and above you can turn off most Teachable branding. Some remains in login and checkout URLs and the Terms of Use acceptance, and a custom domain is needed to remove teachable.com from your address.

Does Teachable have live classes or webinars?

Not natively. You can add a Zoom block through Teachable's Zoom app or embed a third-party livestream, such as YouTube or Vimeo, in a lesson.

Does Teachable have a community feature?

Teachable's Community feature is in maintenance mode and isn't available to new schools. Lesson comments with moderation and threading remain, and Teachable suggests Discord or Slack for community.

How is Ultra LMS different from Teachable?

Ultra LMS leads on AI across the whole teaching loop, real cohort batches and UPI payments. Teachable is ahead on affiliate programme, multi-language and native mobile app, so weigh those if they matter to you.

Can I move my academy from Teachable to Ultra LMS?

Yes. Bring your learner list as a CSV (the switching notes above cover what Teachable lets you export) and import it into Ultra LMS, then rebuild your courses — the AI course builder can draft from your existing documents. Onboarding is hands-on: our team sets up your academy with you.

Who can use Ultra LMS?

Ultra LMS is invitation-only. Tell us what you teach through “Request an invitation”; if it's a fit, our team opens your academy and helps you set it up.
